Be aware of pickpockets: You see this sign everywhere in public places of Bangkok which is very uncomfortable as you automatically check your pockets every five minutes!
World Cub: This one was very cool to look at. They should sell these in the Olympics :-)
Street food: Thai people are great fans of eating outdoors as I preceived them. These kind of shops are dominating the streets in Bangkok and you should wait for suprises looking at very different kinds of creatures on stick, ready to serve.
These shots are from one of the major temples in Bangkok.
From Top, First one is a golden Buddha and I mean real gold. Surrounded by lotus flowers that are respected in Buddhism.
Second one is an interesting one from a doorway of a praying hall where a dog is relaxing . In Shia Islam we also have shrines where golden memorials of Imams are located but the believers when they get there, try so hard to touch and kiss those golden monuments that if you approach near, you may get crushed. Buddha temples on the contrary were very relaxing, quiet and focusing. I liked that.
This is one of the world's heritage sites according to UNESO. There are so many remaining monuments The first famous scene that you see if the strange Buddha stone head strangley surrounded by the air roots of a tree. Me and my friends were talking about which got there first? the root or the Buddha? There are many Buddha statues that are be-headed after Burma army attacked this place. Visit this link and have a 360 degree tour of where I was
This weekend I took a tour from my hotel so that I can at last see something instead of my hotel room. The first place we visited was the Bang Pa In Palace that once was a royal residence of the king of Thailand. The interesting thing about this palace was that it hosted many different types of architecture from chines to European.
