Lights

LightsJust looking up while having dinner in a restaurant in Kuala-Lumpur. I always have difficulty with East-Asian food and those Iranian friends who were with me had the same problem. Seems that the appetite and the way of cooking is as different as the ingredients compared to Iranian dishes. I tried to keep my sense of adventure to look around and what was available but it took me a lot of time to wander around the very big buffet of this restaurant to find something to fill my plate with.

Very very interesting. You know my Iranian friends also don't like Chinese/Thai food. I thought they were just like that - simply didn't like those foods. It never occured to me that it could be something to do with Iranian food-habit of Iranian taste-buds. Now, you are also saying the samme thing!! So, is it something to do with Iranians, that is Iranians don't like East Asian foods!!!???? Why - they are also very tasty with lots of spices (soysauce, duck-sauce, sesame and ginger and chillies and lemon grass, etc.). Any idea?

Behi says: I personally can not handle spices as much as east asians use. Regardless of that, I find some of the chinese food very distant to my apetite as far as smell, shape and form of the food is concerned. This is just different apetitr.

Aah, you can't handle spices? Gosh! How did you survive when you went to India!?
