Camera Position

I have been enjoying a great photography podcast since last week. Jeff Curto is teaching photography in Illinois (see his website) and is running a very interesting podcast called Camera Position on creative side of photography. Each episode contains one or more of his own or someone else's photographs and he describes in a very interesting way, the components and of the picture, the ideas behind it and details on importance of camera position. Not at all about photography jargon, Camera Position is about creativity, so genuinely about art and human inputs to the photographic experience. I have downloaded all of the episodes and am listening to them one by one.

When Behi plans...

When I look at the pathway of my life since 10 years ago till now, I realize that I have  been busy planning for everything but the best things that heppened to me in this period were the things that I had no idea about, and had no planning ahead in my wildest dreams. That is kind of strange but I keep planning. Now after many years in scince, I am starting to think about changing my direction a little. In this stage (I mean starting to think about doing something..) I start with first, day dreaming and second, web surfing (I guess even early humans were doing this, imagining a tasty food and starting to think about a sharp stone as tool for hunting :-) just found this podcast...which is very informative for the moment (Link: MBA Podcaster )

Mind Mirage of the day...

Today after sending out a proposal that I was working on for a week, I found a little time to check out some blogs and podcasts. I went to some of these podcast directories to search for my topics of interest and finally thought maybe I give a try to the "Top 10" list. So I waited for the shows to get in iTunes and put them in my ipod then left my office towards home and the 45 minutes of taxi ride and walk that I always enjoy with music and podcasts went crap! how come most of these very popular podcasts out there are just junk? I should do more search to see what new I can feed my iPod with. Today was my fastest day ever. Imagine sitting by your desk at 9:00 and when you take out of your typing and brainstorming character, you realize that even the lunch break time is passed! (It was almost 3:00 p.m). I need some nice refreshing sports....

Am I saying crap in the blog? maybe, can you say nice things when news is against your society and everyone is blaming your country? and you blame your own government and also those who blame your government and both your government and those who blame your government are thinking you are just blaming about only one of them? I just want to cry and say that I am not part of any of this stupid stuff. Sometimes I like to be a national of one of these small islands in the pacific and imagine when people ask you where you are from and you name your place, people will say: "Where the hell is that?" oh, man...Islands! but what do you think Earth is? isn't it just an island in the desert of dust circulating around the sun? I bet many of those aliens alwys see the Earth but one of them always says: "Look, what a nice mirage!"....that is why they never come down to pay a visit.

An English podcast from Inside Iran

Behibc_large2

There we go! I have created the first episode of podcast now. I am not sure how well it is because it was my very first time doing such thing. You know the first cool thing about podcasting is that you realise how other people hear you when you talk and it is very different from your self understanding of your own voice. In this show I have talked about our presidential election, the bombings in London and have a story for you abiout my experince in quest for US student visa. Get it from the link below:

Download BehiBC_01.mp3

sorry for the size! I will try to make it smaller next time

Here is the feedburner feed for the podcast:

You can easily put this in your iTune or ipodder and get the updates as they come.

I really need your comments on this so please send them in if you listen to it. Thanks

In Pod we trust!

I am enjoying very much listening to various podcasts these days. With this new feature in iTune, now it is possible to download and listen to podcasts and to be honest I like this far more than ipodder that I used to use. I am also thinking of making my own podcast show if I get time. I hope it will not give me a hard time with the bandwidth limits that I have but this is a very cool thing to do. I just purchased a digital logitech headset that records perfectly nice but I am still suffering from this surrounding noise. In the first show, I will talk to you about my experience I had recently for getting US visa (I could not get that). I have a name in mind for the show but appreciate any suggestion if you have any.

My first radio interview

A couple of days ago I had a very enjoyable interview with Pocketplanetradio (read the post: A Hard but Rewarding Listen, or listen to the mp3 file) that makes fantstic podcast shows about different cool topics. The interview was part of a show that BBC five live radio channel has about blogs. We talked mostly on hot issues in Iran, my reasons for blogging and the coming election.I enjoyed the talk very much but unfortunately my low speed internet at home made it difficult for Skype to produce smooth, high quality sound of mine and hence many parts of the talk were apparently not suitable for listeners and yet still you should listen carefully (My voice is like a Robat :-) I love doing something for the first time and who knows maybe I put on air my own podcast! by the way tune yourself to their podcast feeds!
