The football fever

Here in the UK, the issue of football is really immense and the fever is truly high among the fans. I really missed the Iranian atmosphere though, maybe because I could resonate with that better. Today, I found a connected machine after a while again (the price of connection is crazy high here compared to Tehran). Now that I am reading some blogs from inside Iran, I can see that people are really pissed off about the results of the national team. My wife was telling me the other night about the desperate struggle of Iranian people to have hope for the future and have a better reputation in the world. For them, the only chance for making joyful public parties would be a winning of our national team.

Anyway, we have been having fun here. Went to London a couple of times and visited Oxford once. I can not get enough of Oxford. We watched some African music and dancing in the street which was so much fun.

UK! Cool place heated by the world cup!

Mr and Mrs Behi are now in the UK in a very nice town near London where Mr Behi has some work to do in the following weeks. Mrs.Behi always loved to come here. She is a kind of girl who loves green places and that is why north of Iran is also her favourite travel spot. I should get back to work now but things I have noticed till now:
- People here are desperately waiting for the world cup. They have little flags on their cars, big ones hanging in front of their houses and in the shop Windows. It has to be very interesting watching them watching the games especially when England plays. Football is born here anyway!
-Just like last time, I find it odd to see all the shops closed after 6:00 p.m, disappointing enough to see that when I am free from work, the streets are empty.
-I am trying to get used to the British direction of driving
-Last night, we spent three hours in an Italian restaurant and had some very tasty meals. That is probably the longest amount of time I spent eating in one go! with the price we paid for a pizza with starter and some coffee after, we could go to the most expensive restaurant in Tehran! Iranian money sucks here!
-I am looking forward for some heavy work and will try to manage not to loos world cup matches and UK attractions. It is sad that in a few days, my Internet connection will be so limited during the day. I miss my broadband in Tehran!
